The Sacred Objects Exchange (SOX) was launched in March 2014. It is an archdiocesan program coordinated by the Archives.
SOX receives donations of ecclesiastical items that have fallen into disuse or disrepair in order to make them available to parishes and Catholic organizations in need. SOX ensures that the Archdiocese of Toronto is fulfilling its responsibility to protect and preserve its sacred patrimony for use in evangelization. The program has three goals:
Donate
Simply contact the Archives with a list of items you would like to donate. DO NOT drop off items without contacting us beforehand.
We will confirm ownership of the items and make transfer arrangements. You will be asked to complete a Donation Form.
Borrow
The inventory is available for redistribution to Archdiocese of Toronto parishes and institutions only.
Redistribution is contingent upon the recipient parish/organization incurring associated costs, such as restoration and delivery fees.
